National Crime Victims' Rights Week

Since 1981, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) has challenged the nation to extend its vision of crime victims’ rights and services to reach every victim of crime. Each year, communities across the country celebrate decades of hard-earned progress in securing the rights, resources and protections that crime victims need to rebuild their lives.

The National Center for Victims of Crime has had the privilege to partner with the Office for Victims of Crime, U.S. Department of Justice to produce the NCVRW Resource Guide, a wide array of user-friendly tools, information, and concrete, practical ideas on how to involve communities in extending the vision of crime victims’ rights and services to reach every victim.

We encourage you to use these materials to raise crime victim awareness in your community, during NCVRW and throughout the year.

Visit the Office for Victims of Crime for the complete Resource Guide, including the 2013 Theme Video.
